Joboshare DVD to PS3 Converter is a DVD ripper that you can use to convert your movies to a variety of formats, some of which can be played on your PS3 and PSP.

The app allows you to load movies from the DVD disc itself, from a folder on your PC or even an IFO file. When the movie is loaded, you will see a list of DVD titles on the right pane. Usually, the longest title is the main movie, and the other ones are trailers or additional content. In the case of TV DVDs, each title is a separate episode.

You can select the titles that you want to convert and then select a format from the profile drop-down menu. Although the name of the application indicates that the app was specifically designed for the conversion of movies to PS3 formats, that is not the case. In fact, the most popular video formats are supported, including ASF, WMV, MKV, H.264, MPEG-4, MPEG-1, and a few others.

There is a video player that lets you view the titles before you convert them, but, unfortunately, there isn't a video editor that you can use to trim or crop the video, which is a feature commonly found in most applications of this kind. GPU acceleration is not available. Another missing feature is the ability to determine how long the conversion will take.
